Global Objective for series
Be aware of the importance of radiation safety as it relates to fluoroscopy practice. When treating patients, physicians often forget to consider the "invisible" threat of radiation. The goal of this activity is to reduce the radiation doses to both patient and staff by describing the radiation hazards and explaining how to reduce exposure.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize the current trends in x-ray detector technology
  2. Increase knowledge of advances made in radiography and mammography
  3. Describe the relationship between equipment acquisition parameters and radiation dose to patients

Method of participation:

  1. Read article
