2. Unless professionals go to national meetings they don't know what's new so we're bringing this research to them here at UCI.
3. We work with many patient organizations who always want to know the current research and how they can participate.

Objectives:
Describe the utility of novel treatments such as CRISPR for the treatment of rare genetic diseases; explain the clinical features and natural history of some rare diseases; list some examples of molecular defects causing rare diseases and successful treatment.
