Needs Assessment:
There has been a paradigm shift in the delivery of healthcare over the past several years. Utilizing multimodal perioperative clinical pathways, the goal is to enhance patient recovery following major surgery. Supplanting traditional approaches to health care with evidence-based best practice enhanced care clinical pathways can improve patient pain control, decrease length of hospital stay and decrease the incidence of post-operative complications.
