UCSF-ZSFG Emergency & Trauma Imaging
This two-day live streamed course is a case-based emergency & trauma imaging series for physicians, nurses, radiology technologists and medical trainees (MD, DO, NP, RN, RT). Lectures will be presented by 25 speakers from UCSF and Zuckerberg San Francisco General hospitals specializing in emergency and trauma care in six parts: abdominal, thoracic, musculoskeletal, physics, neuroradiology, and interventional radiology.

Participants in the live stream will also have access to Session Replay to review the recorded sessions for 30 days following the course. (CME credit is awarded for participation in the live stream only.)

Course Objectives: At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
  1. Implement the latest imaging protocols and state-of-the-art techniques for rapid assessment of complex acute polytrauma patients;
  2. Distinguish between common anatomic variants, injury mimics and common thoracic vascular emergencies; including acute aortic injury and pulmonary embolism;
  3. Recognize key imaging features and updated classification systems relevant to the most common emergent brain, spine and head & neck pathologies;
  4. Differentiate between emergent and non-emergent indications for interventional radiology consultation, and understand the role of IR in diagnosis and treatment of common medical emergencies;
  5. Identify the key imaging features of common abdominopelvic pathologies encountered in the emergency and trauma settings;
  6. Utilize search patterns to identify frequently missed musculoskeletal trauma findings.
