15th Annual UCSF Primary Care Sports Medicine
OVERVIEW

This virtual course provides a joint-by-joint review of common injuries and current Sports Medicine practices to apply comprehensive care of patients from the recreational participant to the specialized elite athlete.

Highlights of this program include: multidisciplinary faculty, detailed video joint examinations and injection technique instruction, and bread and butter sports medicine topics. In addition, there are tips for MSK exam by telehealth and return to play after COVID discussions. Content will be available for viewing up to 30 days after the course.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This conference is tailored to the front-line primary care provider. This includes primary care physicians in family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics; followed by physical therapy, athletic trainers, resident physicians and medical students interested in sports medicine, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Because musculoskeletal problems are one of the most common medical problems that these practitioners see in clinic, PCPs would benefit from having high confidence and competence in this area. This conference is aimed at improving the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of PCPs when caring for musculoskeletal problems.
