Activity Information: This activity is a written case-based activity intended for primary care physicians, pain specialists, neurologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. The estimated time for completion is 1.5 hours.The cases are modeled on the interactive grand rounds approach. They include integrated questions test current knowledge and see evidence-based information to support the most appropriate answer choice.

The goal of this activity is to educate clinicians on the assessment and treatment of patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). Upon completion of this activity, participants should have increased knowledge regarding the diagnostic criteria for OUD, and have greater competence related to the assessment of patients for OUD and the personalized selection of long-acting medication for the treatment of OUD.
