Educational Goals

This webinar will explain how tobacco use impacts homeless adults and explain tested strategies that can improve their quality of life and help them quit.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this activity, the participant should be able to:

Describe two ways that tobacco use impacts homeless adults
Discuss all of the results of a pilot study of a smoke-free home intervention in supportive housing
Discuss one other promising strategy to engage with people experiencing homelessness around smoking cessation

Topics

This 60-minute webinar will address the following high-level topics. (More details can be found in the downloadable syllabus.)

Tobacco use is disproportionately concentrated among low-income populations.
There are several promising strategies to reach populations experiencing homelessness around smoking cessation.

The estimated time to complete this live web activity is 60 minutes, which is equivalent to 1.0 credits.
