Global Objective for series
Be aware of the importance of radiation safety as it relates to fluoroscopy practice. When treating patients, physicians often forget to consider the "invisible" threat of radiation. The goal of this activity is to reduce the radiation doses to both patient and staff by describing the radiation hazards and explaining how to reduce exposure.

 

Objectives - At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

1. List the benefits and possible detractors of Digital Radiography, particularly when compared to screen-film radiography.
2. Acquire entry-level knowledge of the processing that occurs in Digital Radiography.
3. Describe some differences between available Digital Radiography options.

Course (1.0 hours of credit)

  1. Read the Digital Radiography: Image Quality and Radiation Dose (in PDF format) 
  2. Complete the test (must pass 80% or better – you have three chances)
  3. Complete the evaluation
  4. Certificate will generate after passing test and evaluations are completed

 Receipt of Credit

Once you have completed the course, test and evaluation, you will receive your Statement of Credit and your "My Transcript" page will be updated to reflect the credits earned along with a link to a printable version of the official certificate for that course.
