Global Objective for series

The goal of this activity is to reduce the radiation doses to both patient and staff by describing the radiation hazards and explaining how to reduce exposure.

Objectives - At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

1. Demonstrate safest practices in staff and patient positioning when performing C-arm fluoroscopy;
2. Think critically when deciding on compromise between radiation dose and image quality in fluoroscopy;
3. Identify and apply safe practices to fluoroscopy use.
