The UC San Diego School of Medicine, Division of Nephrology-Hypertension, invite you to attend the 37th Annual Advanced Nephrology: Nephrology for the Consultant conference to be held January 25-27, 2018 at the Coronado Island Marriott in Coronado, California. The UC San Diego School of Medicine, Division of Nephrology-Hypertension, invite you to attend the 37th Annual Advanced Nephrology: Nephrology for the Consultant conference to be held January 25-27, 2018 at the Coronado Island Marriott in Coronado, California. This course has been designed with the practicing nephrologist in mind, providing clinically relevant, up-to-date practice and management guidelines on a range of nephrology topics that should prove valuable in the day to day practices of nephrology.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
Interpret and assess questions regarding diagnosis and management of various kidney disorders (glomerulonephritis, electrolyte disorders, acute kidney injury) faced by nephrologists on a daily basis
Review renal pathology
Utilize new technologies in the interaction with patients and the nephrology community
Describe the newest treatment strategies and guidelines for blood pressure management
Recognize new therapeutic strategies in patients with chronic and end stage kidney disease treated by hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
Identify new and controversial issues presented in this year's nephrology literature
Integrate the pathophysiology, diagnosis and new treatments of glomerular diseases
Discuss new regulations and therapies in the arena of kidney transplantation
