Activity Details
Activity Name:
43rd Annual UC Davis Diabetes & Endocrinology Symposium
Needs Assessment:
This course is designed to change physician competence in the management of patients with Diabetes (type 1 and 2) and obesity, as well as endocrine disorders such as thyroid nodules; injectable therapies for osteoporosis; hormonal causes of hypertension; diagnosis, surgical and medical management of pituitary disorders; and the most recent information from NIH trials about testosterone replacement in older men. This year?s conference will specifically address newer technologies for automatic infusion of insulin and monitoring of glucose to improve health and provide practitioners with state-of-the-art tools to serve their patients. The topics have been selected in response to participant evaluations from previous CME activities. The faculty presenting and interacting with participants have been selected on the basis of their comprehensive clinical experience and academic excellence. Interactive question and answer sessions will be combined with case discussions in small group settings for increased learning.
