The Smoking Cessation Leadership Center (SCLC) hosted this webinar on January 31, 2017 at 11:00 am Pacific time (90 minutes). You may claim CME credit after viewing the recorded webinar. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this activity, the participant should be able to:
  1. Discuss the current environment surrounding tobacco and nicotine addiction and a comprehensive approach to address challenges
  2. Describe ways to engage professional colleagues in educational, clinical and research initiatives focused on tobacco dependence
  3. Identify tools and resources developed by AAFP, AARC and APNA to apply to your organization or setting

Method of Participation/ Instruction for Obtaining Credit

Participants should view the recorded webinar (streaming from a ReadyTalk recording), answer the multiple-choice test questions, and complete the evaluation form online to receive a certificate. 

You must receive a score of 70% or better to earn a certificate. You will have an unlimited number of attempts to successfully complete the post-test.  Your certificate will be available immediately for print or download upon completion of the entire activity.

The fee to register for and claim CME credit is $35. 


Estimated Time

The estimated time to complete this activity is 1-1/2 hours, which is equivalent to 1.50 credits.

Accreditation

The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

UCSF designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses: For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Physician Assistants: The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification.

California Pharmacists: The California Board of Pharmacy accepts as continuing professional education those courses that meet the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and have been approved for AMA PRA category 1 credit™. If you are a pharmacist in another state, you should check with your state board for approval of this credit.

Social Workers: This course is NOT currently qualified for CEU's.
