30th Annual In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer: A Comprehensive Update - 2017
This course addresses the needs of practicing scientists, gynecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, residents, and fellows who wish to expand their knowledge in this rapidly changing field by bringing together an internationally renowned faculty to present the latest developments in every phase of in vitro fertilization and embryo management. At the same time, the course will cover all basic procedures and clinical and laboratory challenges in a comprehensive manner for fellows, nurses and practitioners establishing their practices.

Description: This course addresses the needs of practicing scientists, gynecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, residents, and fellows who wish to expand their knowledge in this rapidly changing field by bringing together an internationally renowned faculty to present the latest developments in every phase of in vitro fertilization and embryo management. At the same time, the course will cover all basic procedures and clinical and laboratory challenges in a comprehensive manner for fellows, nurses and practitioners establishing their practices.
Course Objectives: At the completion of the course participants should be able to:

  • Describe standard, successful methods of each aspect of the clinical practice of assisted reproductive technology and in particular the very significant advantages of deferred embryo transfer, made possible through vitrification; alternatives to full stimulation; prevention of OHSS; the role of lifestyle issues in the male and female; time-lapse monitoring; aging of the oocyte; ovarian tissue and oocyte cryopreservation; newer techniques for comprehensive chromosome screening; optimal hormone replacement for embryo transfer; and critical aspects of embryo transfer technique.
  • Discuss aspects of embryo culture and embryo management to achieve optimal results with IVF.
  • Identify novel methods for assessment of endometrial receptivity, current techniques and challenges with comprehensive chromosome screening, options for fertility preservation for the woman with cancer, and immunologic aspects of implantation.
