Activity Name:	UCLA Primary Care Update 2017
Needs Assessment:	The clinical challenge of primary care lies not only in the breadth of the specialty, but also in the need to stay current in practice areas that are provided. This two-day program provides the participant with a balanced blend of core primary care topics coupled with updates on recent advances in a variety of specialty and subspecialty areas.
Course Objectives:	Following completion of this program, the participant should be better able to: Evaluate and treat hypertension, osteoporosis, gout, vaginitis and low-back pain Manage patients with heart failure, chronic kidney disease, irritable bowel syndrome, low-back pain and common orthopaedic problems Discuss the current role of bone marrow transplantation, as well as recent advances in the management of breast cancer and pancreatic cancer
