Activity Details
Activity Name:
Reflux, Dysphagia and Obesity: 360 Degrees of Interdisciplinary Foregut Management for Primary Care, Surgeons, and Specialists
Needs Assessment:
Foregut disease provides some of the greatest health care challenges to our generation. Nearly one quarter of Californians are obese. Reflux and swallowing disorders are equally as prevalent. A comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art medical and surgical management of these disorders is essential for all health care providers. This conference is designed to transform clinician proficiency and performance. As a result of previous conference participant evaluations and our community physician annual needs assessment survey, the demand for cutting edge educational material regarding reflux, dysphagia and obesity has been identified. This year?s can?t miss two-day conference will provide practitioners with state-of-the art tools to allow them to provide better diagnosis, treatment and management options for their patients. Faculty participating in this activity have been chosen on the basis of their international recognition as master clinicians and distinguished educators.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the activity, participants should be able to:
Review the state-of-the-art diagnosis of reflux disease and dysphagia
Discuss the benefits of an interdisciplinary approach to foregut disease
Discuss at a high-level the advanced medical and surgical management of reflux disease, dysphagia, and obesity
