The AKI&CRRT conference provides a comprehensive review of advances in clinical care, research and technology in critical care medicine with a focus on the kidney and renal support techniques. Course Objectives:
At the end of this conference attendees should be able to:
Describe the recent advances in the pathophysiology and management of critically ill patients with a focus on fluid and drug management of shock, multi-organ failure, infections, liver failure.
Discuss the optimal ways to diagnose, treat and follow up patients with acute kidney injury utilizing biomarkers, imaging and lab studies and use educational tools to raise awareness of AKI.
Describe the principles and practice of renal replacement techniques including CRRT, IHD and Plasma
