Needs Assessment:
Description:
There is an extensive yet inconsistent body of literature reporting on the prevalence of adenomatous polyps (adenomas) and colorectal cancer among average risk individuals. The objectives of our study were to determine the pooled prevalence of adenomas and colorectal cancer, as well as nonadvanced and advanced adenomas, among average risk North Americans. (Clinical Gastroenterology Hepatology)
Improvements made to the agenda based on previous year's evaluation summaries. Overall, 99.05% felt the course was responsive to their needs, and 97.14% felt the activity was relevant to their practice.
Based on this information, the faculty committee has considered the needs assessment and has determined that there continues to be a need for this course, again focusing on current trends and emerging technologies on the diagnosis and therapy of digestive disease.
Course Objectives:
Topics to include:
Disease monitoring, Crohn's Disease, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, fatty liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, etc.
