8th Annual UC Davis Psychotic Disorders (Enduring Material) Modules 1-6
Registration fee is $100.

This series will focus on:
1) Summarize current understanding on the effects of cannabis in mental health
2) Discuss the indications and principles underlying the use of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) in psychotic disorders
3) Discuss the impact of CBT on clinical and functional outcomes
4) Summarize new developments in brain stimulation including the mechanism of action, and the role in the treatment of depression, psychosis and traumatic brain injury
5) Discuss highlights of updated information contained in the DSM 5
6) Evaluate how the use of new technologies such as virtual reality and telehealth are changing the practice of psychiatry
7) Summarize key issues in the diagnosis and treatment of Bipolar Disorder in youth presenting with a first episode of psychosis

This internet enduring material consisting of 6 videos will take approximately 6.25 hours to complete. CME credit is obtained upon viewing all 6 videos, submitting the online evaluation and test. An electronic CME certificate will be available after requirements are completed.


Target Audience:
This conference was designed for mental health clinicians including family practitioners, psychiatrists, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members with common concern across the disciplines.

Physician Credit: The Office of Continuing Medical Education of the University of California, Davis Health System designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Psychologist: This educational activity is recognized by the California Board of Psychology as meeting the continuing education requirements toward license renewal for California psychologist (self reporting required).

MFT and LCSW: UC Davis Health System Office of Continuing Medical Education, Provider No. PCE 2354. This course meets the qualifications for 6.25 hours of continuing education credit for marriage and family therapists and/or licensed clinical social workers as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Participants must view all 6 videos (the entire course), complete the course evaluation and test to earn credit.
