 UC Davis Faculty Ultrasound Training Course 

No fee for this activity and available only to UCD Faculty and Staff. Can only view videos on an internal UCD computer at this time.

Objectives - Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:  1. describe the fundamental ultrasound concepts; 2. use the point of care machine.   

Course (1.0 hours of credit)

  1. Complete Pre-Test
  2. View the two modules - videos 
  3. Complete the test (must pass 90% or better – you have three chances)
  4. Complete the evaluation
  5. Certificate will generate after passing test and evaluation is complete

Step #2   PRE-TEST 
The pre-test is in the PRE-TEST tab
Click LAUNCH to open the assessment, complete the questions then click on SUBMIT
Click CONTINUE at bottom of page to access the next tab CONTENT for the course videos

Step #3   CONTENT
In the CONTENT tab you can access course modules (videos 1 and 2)
Can only view videos on an internal UCD computer at this time.
Videos are on the CRC intranet.

After watching the videos, go to the bottom of the page and click CONTINUE to access the next tab EVALUATION

Step #4   EVALUATION
The post-test and course evalution is in the EVALUATION tab
Click LAUNCH to open test/evaluation, complete then click on SUBMIT 
After completing the test/evaluations, go to the bottom of the page and click CONTINUE to access the next tab CERTIFICATE

Step #5   CERTIFICATE
Click on the CERTIFICATE name (AACME on the left side of screeen) to open or save CME document

TIP - If you do not complete the course, your activity will be available in your CME Account in your CURRICULUM. Once you have completed the course, your credit will be listed in your TRANSCRIPT.

Target Audience
This course is available as Staff Development only to UC Davis Health System faculty and staff. The program can be used for credentialing of physicians who perform ultrasound. _______________________________________________________________________________

Course consists of the following elements:
Pre-Assessment
Course material (two videos) 
Test (90% to pass test, 18 out of 20 questions) and Course Evaluation

CME credit is obtained upon completeing the pre-test, viewing the program content, submitting the online evaluation and successfully passing the activity test. An electronic CME certificate will be available after requirements are completed.

It takes approximately 1 hour to complete this activity. _______________________________________________________________________________

Receipt of Credit
Once you have completed the course, test and evaluation, you will receive your Statement of Credit and your "My Transcript" page will be updated to reflect the credits earned along with a link to a printable version of the official certificate for that course.

Physician Credit: The Office of Continuing Medical Education of the University of California,Davis Health System designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ acceptable for multidisciplinary team members

Nurse:  For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.  For the purpose of relicensure, the California Board of Registered Nursing accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (report hours of credit and fill in “CME Category 1” for the provider number).

Physician Assistant: The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification.
