Speaker: Rita Hargrave, M.D. Geriatric Psychiatrist, Department of Veterans Affairs GLOBAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1) Identify through needs assessment surveys and course evaluations educational topics requested from our learners. 2) Arrange speakers specializing in those topics to discuss and update our learners in order to apply best practices to the care of patients. Session Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 1) Recognize the relationship between dementia and sleep disorders. 2) Identify particular sleep disorders with diagnostic implications in patients with dementia. 3) Identify behavioral and medical interventions that improve the care of patients with dementia. _______________________________________________________________________________

Participation is accomplished through self-directed viewing of the web-based material.
